About This Project
In a major effort to strengthen household stability and promote economic inclusion, the Executive Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government, Hon. Muhammad Gambo Zion, has provided financial support of ₦10,000 each to 1,000 women across the Local Government Area. The intervention specifically targets women who are widowed, vulnerable, or engaged in small informal enterprises, ensuring they receive direct assistance to ease daily financial pressures and enhance their livelihoods.
This initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to empowering women as key contributors to community development. By offering this support, the Chairman aims to expand access to basic income, encourage micro-business activities, and promote resilience among low-income households in Kaduna North.
Impact Assessment:
The direct financial assistance is expected to produce meaningful short- and long-term benefits. In the short term, the support will help women meet essential household needs, reduce financial vulnerability, and stabilize families facing economic hardship. Over time, the initiative is projected to stimulate small-scale trading, strengthen informal businesses, and improve the economic participation of women within the LGA. By reaching 1,000 beneficiaries, the programme significantly contributes to reducing poverty levels and aligns with Kaduna State’s broader agenda for inclusive development and grassroots empowerment
