About This Project
Demonstrating sustained commitment to grassroots economic empowerment, the Executive Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government, Hon. Muhammad Gambo Zion, has provided financial support to more than 460 residents across various categories. Beneficiaries received grants of ₦50,000 and ₦30,000 respectively, aimed at strengthening small businesses, enhancing income generation, and promoting economic self-reliance within the Local Government Area.
The initiative, which has been consistently implemented for over five months, aligns with the broader vision of Governor Senator Uba Sani to stimulate community-level economic growth, reduce poverty, and improve livelihood opportunities for citizens.
Impact Assessment:
This programme is already yielding measurable progress, as the financial support has helped many small traders expand their stock, stabilize their businesses, and cushion the effects of rising economic pressures. By empowering over 460 individuals, the intervention is increasing household income, reducing dependence on government aid, and stimulating commercial activity in local markets. Over time, this sustained empowerment drive is expected to strengthen the informal sector, create a more resilient local economy, and contribute meaningfully to the overall economic development objectives of Kaduna State.
